Will we have a mormon in the whitehouse? Man, that is a thing I don't want to think about, but we must look at the possibility. Mormonism is a cult. Romney is a mormon.
This is a sure sign that our nation has forgotten the importance of truth. Mormonism is built on lies. These lies have been exposed by many over the years and I won't go into details here. But let us just say that this is one weird belief system. And they want you to believe that they are mainstream; just another Christian denomination. Nothing could be further from the truth.
But in America today, we don't want our lives interupted by the truth. After all, aren't all religions the same and equally valid? It is nonsensical statements like that that have paved the way for a cultist in the Whitehouse. Oh, he's not elected yet and he may yet be defeated in the primary, but still there is a sadness in me that he stands or falls not because of his cultists leanings but because of economics or politics or some poorly chosen words in a debate.
I guess I want a president who values the truth, and true history, not made up, unverifiable fairytales created by unreliable sources.
Before someone says that Christianity is no better, let us remember that Christ always had at least three eye witnesses to his miracles and teachings. There were over 500 eye witnesses to his being alive after a very public execution. In ancient palistine, two witnesses were enough to confirm any fact in a court of law. Jesus more than fulfilled the standard of his day and ours.
